What could be better than fudge brownies swirled with peanut butter? Nothing. Once you try these brownies they will be your new favourite!


Yields: 12 brownies
Ingredients
Fudge Brownie Layer

8oz semi sweet baking chocolate (or 1 cup of chocolate chips)

1/2 cup butter

1 cup sugar
-
1/2 cup brown sugar, packed

3 eggs
-
1/4 tsp. salt
-
1 tsp. vanilla
-
1/4 cup cocoa powder
-
1/2 cup flour
-
1/2 cup semi sweet chocolate chips
Peanut Butter Swirl

1/2 cup smooth peanut butter
-
1/3 cup powdered icing sugar, sifted
Instructions

Preheat oven to 350°F.

Place a sauce pot on low heat and add chopped baking chocolate and butter. Mix until completely melted. Remove from heat and let sit for 10 minutes to cool.

In a bowl mix together sugars, and eggs.

Once cooled, combine the chocolate mixture in with the sugar and egg mixture.

Add salt and vanilla, and mix.

Combine cocoa powder and flour, and fold in the chocolate chips.

Grease a pan with cooking spray and add two alternating layers of parchment paper. Pour batter evenly into the pan.

In a separate bowl, mix together the smooth peanut butter and the sifted icing sugar.

Drop the peanut butter mixture on top of the brownie batter and swirl the peanut butter mixture into the brownie batter.

Bake for 30 to 50 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the middle of the brownies comes out virtually clean.

Let cool for 40 minutes before cutting and serving.
