Yields: 12 tarts
Ingredients

12 butter tart shells (I recommend Tenderflake)

6 medium-sized apples

1/4 cup white sugar

2 tbsp. brown sugar

1/2 tsp. cinnamon

2 tbsp. butter, cut into small pieces

caramel sauce
Instructions

Preheat oven to 400°F.

Place shells on baking sheet and set aside.

Peel and chop apples into small pieces, and put in large bowl.

Mix in cinnamon and sugars until all apple pieces are fully covered.

Spoon apple mixture evenly into tart shells.

Place a small piece of butter (roughly the size of a pea) onto the top of each tart.

Place in oven and bake for 15 to 20 minutes, or until the mixture inside of the tarts are bubbling.

Once removed from the oven, drizzle caramel sauce over each tart while still hot.

Let sit for 20 minutes, or until tarts are set.
