These cookies are crispy on the outside and fudgy like brownies in the center! These are the perfect alternative to regular brownies!

Ingredients
-
1 & 1/2 cups chopped chocolate (approximately 250 grams)*
-
3/4 cup butter
-
2/3 cup white sugar
-
1/2 cup light brown sugar, packed
-
2 eggs
-
1 tsp. vanilla
-
2 tbsp. Hershey's Special Dark cocoa powder
-
1 tsp. baking powder
-
1/4 tsp. baking soda
-
1 & 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
-
1/2 cup m&m's (for topping)
* For this recipe I use a combination of dark chocolate (200 grams) and semi-sweet chocolate (50 grams)
Instructions
-
Preheat oven to 350°F.
-
Place a sauce pot on low heat and add chopped baking chocolate and butter. Mix until completely melted. Remove from heat and let sit for 10 minutes to cool.
-
In a bowl mix together sugars, vanilla, and eggs.
-
Once cooled, add the melted chocolate mixture and fully combine.
-
Fold in the cocoa powder, baking soda, baking powder, and flour. The mixture will be quite sticky once fully combined (see picture above).
-
Spray two baking sheets with cooking spray and cover with parchment paper. Using an ice-cream scoop, scoop cookie dough and roll into a ball. Do not place more than 6 balls on one cookie sheet, as they will spread quite a bit.
-
Add m&m's to the top of each cookie dough ball.
-
Bake for approximately 12 to 14 minutes, or until cookies are just beginning to crack in the center.
-
Remove from oven and cool on rack for 15 minutes.
